Statement of the Generation Against Dictatorship and Dependency

Guided by the Principle: “Neither Shah nor Mullah”

We, the undersigned, were all born after the anti-monarchical revolution—a revolution that the mullahs stole and plunged into a “sea of blood.”

Now, the Shah’s son, the heir to plunder and torture, has set out to seize, once again, the democratic revolution of our oppressed people. As the leader of the Iranian Resistance has observed, he seeks to “turn crimes into a stepping stone and build a ladder out of the betrayals and atrocities of Khomeini and Khamenei,” rising on the shoulders of well-known media while benefiting from external support.

With unparalleled audacity, the son of the dictator describes the Revolutionary Guards and intelligence apparatus as “the foremost force guaranteeing the security and stability of Iran’s future.” He also labels the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) and the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) as “part of the problem,” without the slightest regard for the volumes written in the blood of martyrs and those who stood firm unto death.

In an attempt to gain credibility through the name of the PMOI, he attributes regime mercenaries to them, claiming that young people whose parents were involved with the PMOI during the 1979 revolution now support and remain in contact with him.

He refers to the great revolution of the Iranian people, which overthrew the monarchical dictatorship under the slogan “Death to the Shah,” as mere “chaos” brought about by our parents. Like the interrogators of the Shah’s secret police (SAVAK) and the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS), he claims we have been “brainwashed,” while openly expressing “pride” in the crimes of his father and grandfather.

The following facts have been borne out through the successive uprisings of our beloved people over the past decade:

The yardstick of commitment to freedom and independence is the recognition of the Iranian people’s clear demarcation from dictatorship and dependency, summed up in the principle: “Neither Shah nor Mullah.” The slogan “Death to the oppressor, be it Shah or Supreme Leader” rightly blocks the path of both tyranny and colonial domination. The Shah and the mullahs, as a century of experience has shown, are but two sides of the same coin—in their hostility to freedom, their usurpation of popular sovereignty, and their suppression and plunder of the nation’s wealth. It is clear to us that the very existence and activity of the Shah’s son and his affiliated networks effectively serve the clerical regime. Had it not been for their divisive interference and obstruction during the uprisings of the past decade, especially those of 2022 and 2026, the outcome would have been altogether different. We support the Ten-Point Plan articulated by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the NCRI, for the transfer of sovereignty to the Iranian people and the establishment of a democratic republic. Like the rebellious Resistance Units, we stand ready, fully committed, and pledge to spare no effort in supporting them.
